Invalid expense account for inventory item error 

Issue

Invalid account type: For an inventory product, the expense account must have Account Type: 'Cost of Goods Sold'

Resolution

The type of expense account specified for the product has an invalid type that is not accepted by QuickBooks.

• Make sure that the expense account specified for the item in QuickBooks has the Type as Cost of Goods Sold.
• One tip to find out a valid account is to check what default accounts are specified automatically in QuickBooks if you try to add an inventory product manually there. Then specify the same account in BMS.
